Finding the right sterilisation system that best meets your needs.

Whether you need to replace your existing steriliser or are making this purchase for the first time, there are some key aspects to consider:

  1. Volume and instrument types – Start with a detailed analysis of the volume and type of instruments you are likely to sterilise on a regular basis at your practice both now and in the near future.
  2. Physical environment and the re-processing area – Ensure there is adequate bench space for the operator to work safely with the steriliser. As well as the physical dimensions of the work space, you need to consider the temperature and ventilation of the room.
  3. Ease of operation – You should ensure that the control panel is easy to understand, clearly indicates cycle choices and provides unambiguous results about completed cycles.
  4. Training and maintenance – sterilisation processes have advanced considerably in recent years, and knowledgeable operators are integral to quality infection control.

VA-178 Series

Construction details:
The outer chamber is made of thick gauge mild steel while inner is made of 304 grade stainless steel. The lid is made of mild steel with inside lined with stainless steel for double protection. The unit has radial locking arrangement for the lid. Provided with built-in safety valve, pressure gauge, pressure release valve. Pressure is adjustable from 5 psi to 20 psi ± 3 psi.

  • Mode of Heating: Electrically heated by special flange type/immersion type heaters bearing ISI mark, to work on 220 volts single phase 50 cycles.
  • Working Pressure: The pressure inside the chamber is variable from 5 psi. to 20 psi. But the normal recommended pressure for sterilisation process is 1.2 kgf/cm sq.g( 15 psi – 17 psi )
  • Working Temperature: 121° C
  • Hydrotest Pressure: 2.5 kgf/cm sq.g( 35 psi / 40 psi )

Construction details:
The unit has outer chamber, boiler, lid and jacket – all made of 304-grade stainless steel. The jacket is made of SS-304 grade stainless steel sheets. For controlling sterilisation cycle, a three-way valve or a multi-port valve/three way valve – made of S.S./Brass is provided. It is supplied complete with vacuum breaker, water level indicator, steam trap and automatic pressure control switch. The whole unit is mounted on a robust tubular stand made of mild steel pipes, duly painted with attractive stoving enamel, air drying paint.

  • Pressure Control: The pressure inside our vertical autoclave is controlled through a semi automatic electro mechanical device called piezostat, which controls the pressure inside the chamber and cuts of the current from the heater whenever the pressure exceeds the set pressure value of the autoclave, thus making it very safe and energy efficient.
  • Working Temperature: 121° C
  • Hydrotest Pressure: 2.5 kgf/cm sq.g (35 psi)
  • Standard Sizes (dimensions and capacity): 400mm x 600mm (78L) up to 750mm x 1200mm (500L)

Optional accessories

The VA-178 Series and HA-500 Series comes with optional accessories to provide even more functionality and safety which includes:

  1. Automatic Pressure Control Switch – This semi-automatic device controls the pressure inside the chamber mechanically and cuts-off the current from the heating elements, when the desired/ set pressure value level is attained inside the chamber and restarts the mechanism once the pressure inside the chamber falls from the desired level.
  2. Automatic Low Water Cut-off Device – This device is a safety device which protects the heaters from running dry. This device ensures that the machine is automatically switched off in case the desired water level falls below the prescribed level.
  3. Mechanical Timer – This is a semi-automatic device which is initiated once the pressure level inside the chamber reaches the desired value, it regulates the sterilisation time of the media to be sterilised and when the desired time is passed, it activates the buzzer, which indicates that the sterilisation cycle is complete and media can be extracted.
