They are designed to be placed in a pocket (chest or abdomen) of people who handles radiation or a person who happens to enter a radiation handling facility.
THE PDM-127 is a highly sensitive dosimeter to measure both gamma rays and x-rays. With an energy threshold that goes down to 20keV, it is best suited for applications in X-Ray. The PDM-127 is a direct-reading dosimeter which displays both accumulated dose and dose rate.
