What does digital microscopy refer to?

An optical microscope equipped with a digital camera is called a digital microscope. Here the eyepieces are not needed for observation. An image of the sample can be observed and analyzed directly on an electronic monitor display.

In addition, digital microscopes are equipped with softwares that allows to measure an image that is magnified with the convenience of a touch screen.
